Hair Report: The Deep Part

The last few years have been a bit stagnant on the hair trend front, there have been some extreme trends such as severe ombre and pastel coloured locks but on the whole the centre part has been the mainstay for wearable hair trends.

This season brings a change that is both wearable and simple to achieve, it’s as simple as giving yourself a deep side part and sweeping that mop of hair over to one side.

The deep part works with dishevelled ‘bed head’, big bouncy curls, or straight hair and is as simple as using a fine tooth comb to place the part on whichever side your hair falls best to, sweeping it over and then using the comb to brush back the other side and pinning it behind your ear for a slick and simple no fuss look.

This look works perfectly with another one of this season’s big trends, the ear cuff. Get your hands on a statement ear cuff and place it on the ear which your part is on to really showcase the bling.

Deep parts also work for both daytime and evening looks. Pair with winged eyeliner and a statement red lip to class up your night style, or keep your makeup simple and fuss free with a nude pink lip and spidery lashes for a natural and pared back daytime style.

If you have thin hair and find it hard to recreate this look add a bit of texture and body by spraying some dry shampoo into your locks before styling to create the illusion of texture and thickness. If you are lucky to have thick lustrous locks make sure you keep the look sleek and shiny by adding a Moroccan Oil shine treatment to your hair post styling.

This look is for everyone and it is one you should definitely try out to keep things fresh this season.
