2017 Billboard Awards: The Most Anticipated Moments
Tonight at the Billboard Music Awards, Nicki Minaj opened the ceremony with a massive performance that began with a medley of her biggest hits, including “Beez in the Trap,” “Starships,” “Anaconda,” “Super Bass,” and “Moment 4 Lyfe.”
Wearing a bejeweled mask, she took the stage to rap her single, “No Frauds,” before Lil Wayne joined her and they segued into their new song with David Guetta, “Light My Body Up.” The appearances kept coming with Jason Derulo performing their collaborative track “Swalla.” Minaj capped off the stacked nine minutes with her single, “Regret in Your Tears.” Watch clips below, including the aforementioned “Light Up My Body,” “No Frauds,” and “Regret in Your Tears.”

Nicki and Lil Wayne previously performed “High School” together at the Billboard Music Awards in 2013. This year, Nicki is nominated for the Billboard Chart Achievement award and is up against Luke Bryan, the Chainsmokers, the Weeknd, and Twenty One Pilots. Recently, Minaj has been sharing a steady stream of music videos, including “Light My Body Up,” “Regret in Your Tears,” and “No Frauds.”
Behind the scenes of “Sorry Not Sorry”
Lorde took the stage at the Billboard Music Awards tonight to sing “Green Light” from her forthcoming Melodrama album. For her performance, she stood in a neon-lit karaoke room and sang the lyrics from a vintage-looking video.
Lorde recently played album singles “Green Light” and “Liability” at Coachella. During her shows in California, she also debuted “Sober,” “Homemade Dynamite,” and covered Kanye West’s “Runaway.” The follow up to her 2013 Pure Heroine album arrives June 16.
