Dior Maison Has Officially Joined Instagram!

“Living in a house which doesn’t reflect who you are is a bit like wearing someone else’s clothes,” wrote Christian Dior.

In 1947 the couturier unveiled a space containing accessories and gifts for the home, a very personal way of sharing his passion for elegant entertaining à la française.

Today, @DIOR MAISON pursues Monsieur Dior’s fascination with art de vivre by offering a wide variety of objects. Flowers, jewellery, scarves, followed by perfumes, men’s items, letter holders, mirrors – and, more generally, to the art of gifting so prized by Christian Dior, a boutique called “Colifichets” was born in 1947, at the same time as his couture house, at 30 Avenue Montaigne, Paris.

An instant success, the boutique rapidly expanded, perpetuating its pioneering ambition by consistently developing, alongside fashion and beauty creations, an array of home accessories.

One of the highlights is the Copacabana collection, punctuated with corals, seaweed and fish, which pays tribute to the sun-drenched creativity of Brazil, a sweet slice of escapism to distant horizons.

Revisiting the dreamlike and floral atmosphere of the spring-summer 2020 ready-to-wear show from Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior Gardens line, designed by Cordelia de Castellane the Creative Director behind Dior Maison, comprises pieces that elevate table settings and love for the beauty of nature.

While #stayathome become a very popular style, living is part of a luxury lifestyle.
